For the past few days every time I try to log into iSketch I get the following error message:
"Connection problems. Check your network settings or try back later"

Anyone know what the problem is? I'm not having problems with any other site, including other Shockwave game sites. I have the latest Shockwave software. I've tried clearing my cache and I've tried using both Firefox and IE with the same result.

This is very frustrating. I need my iSketch fix!!

Are you behind a firewall or trying to play from a location known to filter and restrict certain sites like a school or university?

    If not, try uninstal/reinstalling shockwave.

I'm pretty sure I had a similar problem recently. I couldn't connect on firefox but I could on IE and I've never had connection issues...
I think the next day I had a pop up telling me there was an update for my shockwave, so it's probably the same thing for you?

    Similar problems...

I recently moved into a new apartment, and I don't fully understand my Internet's some sort of wireless I set up with a router and everything, though...

And, horror of all horrors, iSketch isn't working for me! In IE I get:

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
    What you can try:
    Diagnose Connection Problems

    In Firefox I get:

    Address Not Found
Firefox can't find the server at
The browser could not find the host server for the provided address.

I've reinstalled Shockwave, Firefox, emptied my cache, restarted multiple times, tried different links...
Does anyone have any other ideas? I'm afraid I'm not that computer savvy...

I am having exact same problem as OP. I think it may of happened after I updated Shockwave. I can not connect in any browser and I have uninstalled and reinstalled shockwave.

    AHHHHHHHHHHH help me!!!

    Just tried these help instructions

Go to Start > My network places > View network connections
Right click internet connection. Choose Properties.
    Click Advanced tab.
    Click Settings.
    On Services tab, click Add.
Type a name for service. (E.g. "iSketch")
    Type in local IP address
    External port number : 1627
    Internal port number: 1627
    Click TCP on.
    Click OK. Then OK again.

What happened was it allows me to now log in but all the rooms say round 0/10 and i can not see any drawings at all just people guessing!!!

The server has been having problems lately, so the issue might not be with your settings. Try again later on - Good luck!

It seems like the isketch server is made from spider-webs and bits of string.

    Down again.

The iSk webserver has been pretty stable for a fairly long time. The last major outage can be seen here on the 'Reach' figures, (set it to max). In Mid 2008 you will see a drop off and a sort of mini plateau, before it resumes it's usual seasonal/holiday/weekend oscillations.

So you are correct, the webserver's not had many problems for more than a year.

Poor thing, probably just needed a little break. (ah what a pun  )
